Abstract:

Societies and institutions in the East and the West have a very long and proud tradition of education in
ethics. In recent years, many grand scale embezzlements by top level government officials, infamous
scandals in the business world, and other infamous unethical conducts have steered the academics,
business leaders, government officials, and other authorities to re-focus their attention and place more
efforts and resources on ethics education. This paper will review the relevant Eastern and Western ethics principles, thoughts and maxims. It will also provide enough real-world examples to help the readers learn how to appropriately apply these ethical standards in the conduct of a personal and business environment.
